Three years ago I traveled down under to visit a friend who was living in Melbourne. For a weekend trip, we decided to stay with one of her colleagues in Auckland, New Zealand where her and her roommate took the time to show us around the city from a local perspective.
On our way to the airport, we exchanged Facebook accounts and I let them know that if they ever came to Canada they would always have somewhere to stay and a tour guide… to my surprise, a little over a year later I received a message that she was not only visiting Toronto, but moving there for a two year work term with her friends.
