Blue Jays fans, it’s time to pack your bags! With Toronto heading to the World Series for the first time since 1993, many Blue Jays fans are scrambling to get to LA.

According to Skyscanner’s 2025 Travel Trends data, 40% of Canadians plan on attending a sporting event to see their favourite athletes in action, reflecting how major sporting moments continue to shape travel behaviour.

Big sports moments are the perfect excuse to explore somewhere new. Fans heading to Los Angeles can make the most of their trip by booking early morning flights to maximize time in the city and staying close to the stadium to soak up the full game day atmosphere.”  says Laura Lindsay, Skyscanner’s Travel Expert.

While last-minute travel often comes with a hefty price tag, Skyscanner says there are still smart ways for fans to get to Los Angeles without overspending.

Here are a few travel-savvy tips to help Jays fans save on flights to Toronto or L.A.  while catching every inning of the action:

  1. Fly in early, leave late. Prices usually spike right before big events. Travelling the day before and returning the morning after can help avoid fare hikes and airport crowds.
  1. Use Price Alerts. Airfares can change several times a day, and Price Alerts are the easiest way to catch a deal the moment it drops.
  1. Mix and match airlines. Two one-way tickets, even on different carriers, can sometimes cost less than a standard round trip.
  2. Pack light. Travelling with a carry-on only helps avoid baggage fees and saves time at the airport.

Fans can also search for flights on Skyscanner, with Canada to Los Angeles fares currently starting around $138 for direct routes.
