On your next visit to La Belle Province’s largest city, taking a stroll in the historic and stunning Old Port highly figures on anyone’s agenda. Not only the architecture romances with European colonial style, the area undoubtedly became a hub for young professionals on the search for places to unwind after a long day’s work.

Restaurant HÀ is one of them. With 2 establishments located in Old Montreal and in Le Plateau borough, it was only a matter of time before the group would introduce their guests to a new experience: Nhu Bar.

Located inside the Old Port’s HÀ restaurant, simply go down the stairs to find a golden door that opens to a softly lit room filled with Vietnamese lanterns. The decor signed by Amlyne Philips instantly transports you to Southeast Asia.

Nhu Bar qualifies itself as a sophisticated and vibring cocktail bar that offers an extensive list of signature cocktails, created by Tao Zrafi and Maxime Daraize, which are all as unique as they are delicious.

And if the following question is on your mind, rest assured Nhu Bar offers its guests food from HÀ’s menu. The latter is a fusion of Lao and Vietnamese cuisine inspired by traditional Vietnamese concept of BIA HOI: little street corner restaurants! The restaurant itself is also an homage to legendary Vietnamese chef who unfortunately passed in 2015, Monsieur HÀ.
