What better way to cool off in the warm southern heat then with a rooftop pool. Centrally located in the Central Business District in New Orleans, the NOPSI is a historic hotel infused with a modern flair. The building originally opened in 1927 as the historic headquarters of the former New Orleans Public Service Inc. (NOPSI). In 2017, the building reopened as a modern hotel full of grandeur. The NOPSI has 217 hotel rooms featuring 76 suites that all have been classically designed to showcase the buildings long and rich history through local artwork and technology.
The Hotel Rooms
Filled with refined furnishing, the guestrooms provide a variety of flexible room types, ranging in size from 350 to 800 square feet. Guest bathrooms incorporate a soothing spa-like tile design and offer a large and luxurious shower to cool off from the New Orleans heat. Inside the hotel, there are three dining options including Undercurrent (the lobby bar), Public Service (the lobby restaurant) and Above the Grid (located on the hotels rooftop).

The NOPSI is situated in New Orleans’ bustling Central Business District right on the corner of Baronne Street and Union Street, creating allowing you to explore the different neighbourhoods easily by foot. The historic French Quarter is a short walk a away but just far enough to ensure you a good night sleep after an evening of exploration. The artsy Warehouse District, filled with refined art galleries, eclectic music venues and theaters, outdoor concerts at Lafayette Square and the massive Mercedes-Benz Superdome are also just minutes away from the hotels front steps.
